October 2008
Cindy has worked with me a few times now.
Most recently we went through my entire house, top to bottom
(that’s attic to cellar), garage and barns.
She is like the Energizer bunny. She takes
organization to level I could not have imagined after 29 years
of marriage and three kids. Just when I’d had enough she would
urge me “on”. It’s a dreadful endless job to take on alone;
with Cindy we made quick work of it all. I never would have
done it “all” and today would still have been dreading to tackle
those unseen jobs. What a satisfying feeling when it was all
done—for both of us. Had I tackled it alone, those junk drawers
full of just that-- and would still be forbidden territory for
anyone to open.
The attic was a real undertaking. It had
been the catch all for anything we were not using and had not
been used in years. And all those Christmas decorations—I
hadn’t used many for years for good reason. It was backbreaking
working under the eves but Cindy made it work. We sat on
crates. She uses a system of containers and sorting so that I
never had to touch anything more than once.
On the days that I had commitments, Cindy
would come in and get things going so that I could just step in
and sort. She never pushed me to get rid of things but asked
the right questions to help me realize the stuff would never be
used again. I don’t know how many bags were removed—a lot! But
to this day, I don’t miss a thing! And it makes me think twice
before bringing something new into the house.
Aside from being a wiz at organizing, I
particularly found it helpful that Cindy would “take” what we
designated to “go”. Not only would she take it but I always
felt better that she would find a use for the “stuff” whether it
be nursing homes, animal shelters or those in need. This made me
feel better disposing of those precious things I hadn’t touched
for years.
Cindy is delightful to work with, shows up
on time and fulfills her commitment. Some may wonder, “What
does she do that we couldn’t do on our own?” For one thing she
gets you started and she completes the job. My house is a more
pleasant place and I enjoy not having it full of stuff I don’t
use/need any more. She is worth every penny.
