Thank you once again for an
incredible job assisting in my home transition. Moving and
discarding of unused acquisitions can definitely be one of the
hardest things for a person to do. You have a persuasive
gentleness that made it much easier to accomplish the task at
hand. You turned a day long, possibly 2-day long, reorganization
project into a few hours. You brought both practical and
emotional hats as we went through my belongings and made my
decluttering an enjoyable experience. Not only that, it has
lessened my moving expenses but it has lightened my spirit. It
has been a freeing experience!

Cindy, Thanks for being you!! I had
a blast with you, I don't know if I will ever lose that "new"
feeling every time I open the door - or get up on Saturday
morning without that dread and overwhelming feeling. Thank you
so very, very much. You surely have given me a wonderful feeling
of freedom. Suzie

Dear
Cindy:
This is for all the readers of your web-site out there who
need to know what a wonderful service you provide. I am just
a bit organizationally challenged but I also have arthritis,
and I needed the help of someone like Cindy to do preparational
work for moving out of my apartment to another temporary home,
and then eventually in another six weeks to move out of state
to Arizona. Cindy is an extremely fast but efficient worker,
and her calm and understanding manner make working along with
her so easy. I trusted her enough to actually throw out papers
that I hadn't looked at in years, with only a brief glance
at them. It's true that sometimes you just have to be ready
to clear out your clutter and start over, and Cindy is a person
who will ask you the important questions about little knick-knacks
like: Do you really LOVE this item, or are you just keeping
it because a best friend gave it to you for your 30th birthday
which was way too many years ago?
I just can’t thank her enough
for making a very difficult transition so, so much easier.
She is also an inspiration to people like myself who hope
to start my own business when I am in Arizona; I have watched
her business grow impressively in just 6 months.

Dear
Cindy,
I am writing this not as
a satisfied customer, but as a satisfied friend and neighbor
of Cindy Foster. I have known Cindy for some 12 years
and in that time I’ve come to know a woman who has integrity,
ethics and compassion. She has been a longtime volunteer
in community and regional programs for young people (scouts,
Little League, skiing). We have worked together many times
and in many instances if something needed to get done - Cindy
did it.
Home Transitions has the
character that is Cindy Foster. Dealing with client’s belongings
can be an intensely personal experience. Items that were inherited,
purchased or received as gifts over decades or even a lifetime
can represent a treasured legacy. These are items that
have an emotional packaging beyond the cardboard box they
are packed in.
One of the first clients
of Home Transitions was an elderly widower who was downsizing
from his longtime home. Cindy recounted to me the time she
spent with the gentleman as they went through his accumulations,
deciding which items to save, sell or donate. This was not
a time for a cold-blooded business transaction – this was
a time to listen to the story of a man’s lifetime. In
the end, deadlines were met, transactions were completed,
and a client’s dignity was respected.
Cindy Foster will do what
she says she will do, when she says she will do it – and she
will do it with integrity, ethics and compassion. Home
Transitions is Cindy Foster.

Cindy,
I can not imagine what we would
have done without your help. You worked nothing short of miracles
to help me clear out my aunt’s 2 story home, garage and basement
that had a collection of over 60 years of living and you did
it in record time.
You are one of the hardest working
people I’ve ever met, and by far one of the most organized.
But you are much more than that. Because of your understanding
and compassion, my aunt was so comfortable working with you
that what could have been emotionally overwhelming…clearing
out a home of all it’s contents as she made a move to assisted
living, went quite smoothly.
But your efforts for us have
not stopped there. Our family has depended on your help, organization,
knowledge and dedication now for several years. As my aunt
moved from assisted living to an Alzheimer’s nursing center
in Maine, you have continued to be of tremendous help to us.
Since we live so far away from my aunt, you have been our
“eyes and ears” in Maine, and we continue to depend on you
in many ways so that we can know what is happening and make
the best decisions for her.
Nothing I can say will ever
be thanks enough for all you have done, and continue to do.
Bless you,

Dear
Cindy,
I have to write and thank you
again for the changes you have made in our home. When I retired
from teaching after 33 years I had the daunting task of melding
my school collections with my home collections. And after
33 years of working, my home was not ready to accept any more
"stuff" into it. And so, I decided to call on Home
Transitions to help sort through this organizational quandary.
Our first interview was proof
that I had made the right decision to enlist professional
help. Your probing questions regarding my goals for my collections
and your subsequent action plan, based on my wants and needs,
resulted in a customized and effective clearing, organizing,
and storing for all our belongings. What had been an overwhelming
and daunting task to contemplate was reduced to steps and
procedures which you developed during that first interview.
I am now able to find anything
in minutes. Proof of the "putting" is my husband.
He could never find anything and now he can pack for his own
hunting, fishing and/or skiing trips. Either he knows where
to look, as he knows the system, or I can tell him easily
where he will find his seasonal items.
My sister-in-law, who always
has gently (?) teased me about my cupboards, recently came
to visit. I insisted she look in any drawer, cupboard, or
closet. I am so proud of my "new" home. She was
mightily impressed, and for once, speechless.
Thank you! What is even more
amazing is that you performed this little miracle in two and
a half days! If ever you need a person to "testify"
about your company's services, please call on me.
A very satisfied client, Laura
